Sound Effect Generation Agents Interpreting LLM instructions with Onomatopoeia

In this paper, we present a system enabling context-aware sound effect generation through an interactive operation where users can incrementally add and modify input text while previewing the generated results. Based on the input text's content, the proposed system dynamically switches among multiple existing sound generation models, thereby flexibly generating diverse sound effects by leveraging both onomatopoeia, words that represent sound, and detailed text instructions. Through performance evaluations, it was confirmed that the proposed system received high subjective ratings regarding ease of use, convenience, and willingness to use it in the future, compared with a reference method of manual search among a database. |
