Content Based Image Retrieval using color information

(in English) Local features as represented by Scale-Invariant Feature Transform are generally used for Content Based Image Retrieval. However, most previous methods using such local features rely only on intensity value of images and then they do not take advantage of the color information which may be helpful for the application. In this study, we propose Key Line Segment (KLS) feature which regards color information on line segments connecting two local feature points as the feature descriptor. The effectiveness of KLS is discussed based on the simulation results.
