Human augmented devices have been extensively proposed and developed recently, which are useful in improving the work efficiency and life quality. Among all these techniques, the wearable devices are most important and developed. In this work, we focus on the wearable tail-shaped device with both physical functions and interactive functions as a novel media performance tool. Previous researches of tail-shaped devices only proposed for interaction design. This work proposes RESTAIL, a functional wearable tail-shaped device that can be used as a human-augmented tool as well as a portable chair. The developed prototype can afford 120kg weight, and the tail movements along with users’ motion could be a novel interactive performance. |
