Robust Object Tracking for Dynamic Projection Mapping on Grasped Objects

(in English) Recently, dynamic projection mapping (DPM) which is a projection technique of editing appearance of moving real objects has attracted considerable attention. It is desirable that the targets of DPM is grasped and moved freely by users’ hands. In order to realize DPM, target have to be tracked in real-time and contour-based object tracking is effective method. However, occlusion by users’ hands causes declining accuracy of tracking. Therefore, in this research, we combine iterative calculation with contour-based object tracking to avoid disturbance factor by users’ hand and realize robust tracking.
