Speed lines are often used in manga, anime, and games as effect lines to create a sense of realism and speed, but few studies have investigated the specific effects of speed lines. In this study, we paid particular attention to the sense of acceleration and investigated more effective production methods based on existing methods that exponentially change the number and length of speed lines in an animation. Specifically, we investigated the minimum and maximum adjustments required to vary the speed line parameters exponentially, as well as the effects of different combinations of parameters. The results of the evaluation experiment showed some significant differences in speed and acceleration. |
