Ethics

Ethics statement

We, the members of the ITE, striving for the improvement and popularization of science and technology to
contribute to the development of image information and television in our country,
in recognition of the importance of our technologies to the quality of life throughout the world,
do hereby commit ourselves to the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct and agree.

(1)to maintain and improve our technical competence in order to contribute to the development of technology.
(2)to accept responsibility in making decisions related to research, development and the use of technology
that can affect the safety, health and welfare of the public, considering potential risks
and the effects of our decisions on society.
(3)to be honest and realistic in stating claims or giving estimates based on facts and available data.
(4)to seek, accept, and offer honest criticism of technical work, to acknowledge and correct errors,
and to credit properly the contributions of others.
(5)to treat fairly all persons regardless of such factors as race, religion, profession, gender, age, nationality,
or belief.
(6)to take the appropriate action promptly against factors that might endanger the public or the environment.
(7)to avoid injuring others, their corporeal and intellectual property and their reputation
and to fulfill contracts.
(8)to exercise moderation in dispatching messages onto communication networks.
